Welcome to Troop 14!

Learning to build a campfire

Welcome to the temporary website for Troop 14, Greater Yosemite Council, Modesto, California.  Troop 14 has been serving the greater Modesto area since 1927! We are currently prepping to launch a new, improved website as we count down to 100 years of Troop 14 Scouting in the community. The new site will be up in mid-December! Join us for a meeting, or come back then to learn a bit more about us first!

In the meantime, here’s a little bit of information about us:

  • Troop 14 is a Scout-led troop established in February 1927 that emphasizes personal leadership, adventurous outdoor activities, and making great friends!
  • Troop 14 meets at 6:45PM most Thursdays at Geneva Presbyterian Church on the corner of Coffee Road and Fairmont Drive, across the street from Thomas Downey High School. We welcome visitors, but please contact us in advance to let us know you’re coming!
  •  Troop 14 has an active outdoor program. Our 2025/2026 activity schedule includes coastal camping, backpacking, climbing, mountain biking, hiking, a weeklong summer camp in the High Sierras, and lots of other exciting opportunities.
  • Our Troop has an active Community Service calendar, and typically holds monthly service projects to improve our community.
  • Troop 14 places youth safety FIRST.
  • Troop 14 is currently chartered by Friends of Modesto Youth, a Modesto-based nonprofit.
